Kemal currently serves as the Vice President of Community Engagement at VyStar Credit Union, overseeing the organizations pillars or giving/sponsorship, volunteerism, and community activation. Kemal has more than 18 years of experience in the financial services industry and multi-unit leadership across the southeast and has spent time at Winn-Dixie, Axiom Bank, and Truist. Kemal is a graduate of Leadership Jacksonville Class of 2019, Graduate of Leadership Florida Connect Class X, Graduate of Hightower Emerging Leaders Fellowship, and Graduate of United Way’s Stein Fellowship Program.

Kemal serves as a Changing Homelessness Board Member, Leadership Jacksonville Board Member, Hightower Fellowship Board Member, World Affairs Council Board Member, and Advisor to Shades of Success VyStar Employee Resource Group. Due to his commitments in the community, Kemal has received numerous awards such as Top 40 Under 40 from the Jacksonville Business Journal, Top 30 Under 30 from Buzz Magazine, Top 20 Under 40 from the Florida Black Expo, and has been featured on various media platforms such as News4JAX, BUZZ TV, and National Credit Union Foundation Field Notes, sharing his passion for community engagement and financial wellness.

Kemal earned his bachelor’s degree from Strayer University and is a current MPA student at Strayer University.
